So here it is, my maiden voyage into baby photography. With those infectious blue eyes isn't Eira just beautiful? The camera used was a Lumix G7, I avoided using a flash because I had been told the light can irritate, so opted for a circular reflector and natural light from a window.  Only 2 lenses were used through the process, a 25mm portrait for the soft edges and a 45mm macro to get in close for those extra detailed shots. I ended up taking over a 1,000 photos in 2 hours. I then spent 5 hours whittling them down to 90.

Wanting to keep the photos intimate and personal I tried to focus in on some of the smaller details, it’s safe to say I had a goofy smile on my face from start to finish and completely enjoyed it, so thank you to both Gareth and Marcia for letting me take the pictures.
